Hi!. My name is Shaheen. I am a 23 year old astronomer living in Australia. I love reading Speculative Fiction - Fantasy, Science Fiction and Horror. This blog is dedicated to a genre study: I am interested in what makes a book Spec Fic, and what authors themselves say about the genre.

Do these publishers give you review copies or do you buy all these books? You’re a reviewing machine but I hope you’re making the system work for you as well. >.<
Review machine, haha! Books provided by publishers are always indicated, usually at the top of a review. About 80% of what I review on the blog is provided for review. However I tend to buy a lot of books too: before the book buying quota was introduced by my partner, I was buying upwards of seven books a week but only reading about four. The quota I use now means I have to read 3 books to buy 1. Still, there are about 120 books that I have bought but not read.
